The garden, which lies at over 1,000 metres high, is the oldest organically certified garden in the world. Great importance is attached to social responsibility towards plantation employees and their families. Accordingly, several schools, medical schools and a team of around 70 people who maintain the power and water supply and sanitary facilities, among other things, are also involved.
