TEAsting: Smoke and chocolate for cold days

After in the last TEAsting we briefly cheated on the tea plant Camellia sinensis with two African relatives – rooibos and honeybush, it is time to return to the ancient homeland of the drink – China. The changeable nature of October shows us that summer is irretrievably gone and that we should tune in for drinks that will bring us comfort and good mood back to the darker days. We have already introduced you to the story of one of the protagonists of today’s tasting – the smoky and resinous Lapsang Suchong – in the issue of Bacchus dedicated to empires.
