Regular drinking of fruit teas has many health benefits as well as eating fruits, vegetables and other plant food. Fruits and vegetables contain flavonoids, which however are contained in a much higher concentration in tea.
Flavonoids in tea reduce the risk of chronic diseases, serve to prevent cancer and heart diseases, improve metabolism, regulate blood sugar and weight and improve the overall health and well-being. Drinking fruit mixtures, however, is not a substitute for the consumption of plant food. It is rather recommended as a valuable addition to a well-balanced healthy diet.
